This is the best and the most popular source of income through blogging. Ad Network are the mediator platforms which connect Advertiser to Publisher. On signing up with one of the ad networks as publisher your blog gets connected to the ad network and after setting up the ad code provided by these ad networks your visitors will see ads alongside your article.
There are three ways to generate income through Ad network :
1.CPM : CPM or Cost Per Million is the amount of money you get paid when ads displayed on your blog are viewed by 1000 visitors or 1000 times.
2.CPC : CPC or Cost Per Click is the amount of money you will get when someone clicks on one the ads on your blog.
3. CPA: CPA or Cost Per Action is the amount of money you will get when visitors perform some action on an advertiser's site like signing up, watching video, downloading, or buying a product etc.
The amount of income you will have from above three will be in order :
CPA > CPC >CPM per user
Ad Network income is directly proportional to your total visitors per day. The more visitors you have the more you earn.
4. Sponsorship:
Sponsorship is a type of income where a company pays you for writing an article focusing on their product or service on your blog. This kind of income is the highest of all types of earnings but it certainly depends on the number of followers and your blog niche. A trading focused blog with 10K visitors daily will get higher paying sponsors than a tech blog with 5K followers.
Most of the time you don’t have to approach sponsors. If your blog is popular, they will approach you and you will set the price to write a sponsor post for them. That’s why if you have more sponsors in your contact your income will jump exponentially.
5. Affiliate Income:
Affiliate income is like a combination of CPA and Sponsor post with the only difference that you will not get paid for writing the article but will be paid when someone performs some action on affiliate site using your affiliate link.Actions may include buying a product, premium membership, signup etc. whenever these actions are performed by visitors you get the commission out of it.
The amount of money earned depends on the commission percentage of affiliate sites. This percentage varies with the type of their product or services and they hold the rights to change it any time. So the amount earned is not fixed in Affiliate Income.
6. Digital Product Selling :
This is an indirect earning method via a blog. In this method you sell a digital product like a Book, PDF guide, Stickers, Wallpapers, Images, Photos, Sounds, Music Tracks, etc. to your influenced followers. You can also choose to provide paid service to your followers if your blog niche is focused on that.
Earning from selling Digital Products takes some time and it is not certain that you will earn from it regularly. Although if your digital product is too valuable to your audience then there’s no one stopping you becoming a millionaire.
7. Online Shopping:
Most of the ecommerce sites have associated blogs for helping their consumers via tutorials, how-to about their products. It also helps them generate backlinks to their online shop. So, if you have a blog with a great following then it's better to redirect them to your online shop with the product they need.
Having an online shop is a little bit different from digital product selling as in this case you sell physical products to your audience like electronic gadgets, books, paintings, beauty products, health care products etc. Although creating an online shop will definitely increase your burden of packaging, shipping and account management yet it is an earning option from your blog.
8. Starting a Writing Business :
If you have been writing blogs for a long time and know all the tactics of creating a successful blog then it's time to expand this to a Writing Business. You can shape your writing business in two ways, either you can start a writing agency for writing blogs for others or you can start multiple blogs of your own and hire writers for them. Choosing the first way will generate active income and choosing the second will give passive. You can also mix both of the two methods for balancing your income
9. Creating a Platform :
This type of earning requires a little bit of coding skills. If your blog focuses on a niche that can be converted to an online platform then you can multiply your income by creating that platform for your users. Suppose you have a blog teaching English language then you can have a Dictionary Platform, A Vocabulary game, A Quiz Mania etc. Having such platforms will not only engage your followers but also let you earn money by providing a service membership to them.
10. Become a Brand Writer :
The last but not the least way to earn money from blogging is to become a Brand Writer for some recognizable brand. This method is approximately equal to Freelancing for a dedicated client with the only difference that in this method you will not take any other client’s work and focus your research and writing for that particular brand.
Generally, Brand writers are those people who have good knowledge about a particular niche or have previous experience working with that company. They better know and can write their blogs by using their experience. Earning in becoming a Brand Writer depends completely on the brand value of the company who hired you. If you write for big brands like Coca Cola you will earn tremendously higher than someone writing for a local fruit juice brand.
