How to Install Virtual Box in Windows 10 ?

When you search the term on Google you will find two most popular software first is VM Ware and second one is Virtual Box which we install in our PC today. But before we do that let's understand what is Virtual Box.

Well, A very technical answer but don't worry about that. In simple words Virtual Box by Oracle is a virtualization software which can create virtual machines of any supported physical architecture. For example if you need a virtual PC with 2 processors, 4 GB ram, 2 GB graphics memory, a CD and USB drive, you can create it on Virtual Box. All you have to do is to create a new virtual machine with configuration you want and it will act just like your physical machine, you can install any operating system on that machine whether it is Windows, Mac, Linux, or Android.

Steps to install Virtual Box in Windows 10
Things you need :
- A PC running Windows 10 64 bit
- Virtual Box Setup file
- A little bit of patience
If you all three things ready then follow the below steps to install Virtual Box in your Windows 10 PC.
- First of all download Virtual Box setup from here. [Download] [Alternate Download]
Choose the setup installer corresponding to your operating system. For the sake of this example lets choose Windows Installer.
- Wait for download to complete. Till then you can go through its documentation on the same page to know more about its features.
- Once downloaded open installer. For Windows just double click your setup file for and grant administrator permission when asked.
- Once Virtual Box installation wizard is open click next.
- Choose the folder location where you want to install Virtual Box or leave it to default location which is C:\Program Files\Oracle\Virtual Box.
- In the next step choose whether you want to create desktop and start menu shortcut for Virtual Box. Tick the corresponding check box according to your need except the last one which says "Register file association". This one should be checked for Virtual Box to work properly.
- Now, the installation wizard show you a warning message that says "Installing Oracle VM VirtualBox Networking feature will reset your network connection temporarily disconnect you from the network". Don't worry about that and click Yes to start the installation.
- Wait for installation wizard to copy the files and set up everything.
- Once the installation gets completed successfully you will see final dialogue box with a checkbox to Virtual Box right from there. Just click on finish.
- Congratulations, you have installed Virtual Box. This is the default interface that you will see on whenever you launch Virtual Box.
